Jason Worcester Sentenced To 7 To 24 Months For Setting Up Inmate Assault

August 15, 2012

Jason Worcester, the second of two former Erie County Prison guards charged by Erie County Detectives in the Jan. 29, 2012 beating of an inmate was sentenced today to seven months to two years in state prison.

The District Attorney's office viewed this case as a serious blow to the criminal justice system in Erie County. The sentence to the state prison system handed down by Judge Ernest DiSantis clearly shares that view.

Assistant District Attorney Brian Krowicki handled the plea and sentencing for the Erie County District Attorney's Office.
