Darrin Germany Sentenced 4 Years 4 Months To 9 Years For Carrying Firearm.

Darrin Germany, 24, of Erie received a sentenced of a minimum of four years and four months to a maximum sentence of nine years carrying a fully loaded handgun in an eastside neighborhood in October of 2011.

The gun -- a Ruger P85 9 mm semi-automatic with 15 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber -- had been reported stolen 15 years earlier.

Germany, pleaded guilty to the third-degree felony of carrying a firearm without a license.

Germany had been incarcerated a number of times for previous offenses. He also was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm when he was a juvenile, said the prosecutor, Assistant District Attorney Nate Strasser.
