Eugene Metzger Sentenced 4 1/2 to 20 Years In Prison

Eugene Metzger will serve up to 20 years in prison on charges he killed Magen Porter in a drunken driving collision in 2010.

Metzger was sentenced this morning in Erie County Court to four years, two months to 20 years in state prison.

Metzger was found guilty on November 21, 2011 of homicide by vehicle while DUI, aggravated assault by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangering another person, careless driving, vehicle turning left, and DUI.

Assistant District Attorneys Lisa Ferrick and Mark Richmond handled the case for the District Attorney's Office.
