Erie Woman Receives 1 1/2 To 4 Years for Biting Her Child

Patricia M. Wilson was sentenced Thursday in Erie County Court to one and a half to four years in state prison on charges of repeatedly biting her 1-year-old son.
Wilson for plead guilty to recklessly endangering a child, endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault of a child., She also agreed to aid in the prosecution of her former boyfriend.
The case began Dec. 13, 2010, when the child was taken to an Erie hospital after becoming unresponsive. Wilson and her boyfriend, Jawann W. Dade, 24, of the 300 block of East 28th Street, admitted to biting Wilson's son on his chest on multiple occasions, leaving bite marks and bruising. Dade previously pleaded guilty to charges of reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault, and was sentenced in December to serve one year and 11 months to four years and four months in state prison.
Assistant District Attorney Brian Krowicki handled the plea and sentencing for the Erie Coutny District Attorney's Office.
