EPD investigating a shooting early this morning. Police say a gunshot victim was dropped off at UMPC Hamot with a bullet to the head. Police say they found shell casings in the area of East Lake Road and Franklin Avenue, and believe the victim may have been shot in the head, while in a vehicle.

The name and condition of that victim is unknown. That person was dropped off at the hospital in a private vehicle around 2:30 this morning. Police are still investigating.

Erie police are investigating a shots-fired incident that they said occurred outside of the Bayfront Convention Center on Friday night.

Police said they were called to the 500 block of Wallace Street on Friday at about 11:30 p.m. on a report of a car that had several bullet holes in it. The person who had been driving the car told police he had gone to a party at the Convention Center earlier that evening, police said this morning.

Officers went to the Convention Center and found six shell casings in the parking lot, Erie police Lt. Kirk Werner said.

No one had reported a shooting in the lot, he said.

There were no reported injuries in the incident.

300 block of East 3rd. a neighbor reported hearing several gunshots.

Police recovered five shell casings in the driveway of a residence.

02-11-2012. 0400:

Erie police were called to the 1000 block of West 27th Street early this morning after neighbors reported hearing gunshots. At least one bullet entered a home.

EPD Police were sent to the Knotty Pine Tavern, 1126 Buffalo Road, for man shot in the leg..

01-18-2012 2147:

EPD called to 1300 block of Buffalo Rd. A resident reported two shots were fired into the residence.

Bullets passed through some rooms inside the home. No shell casings recovered.

12-26-2011. 1257:

Man shot in the parking lot of Country Fair store at 957 E. 26 street.

12-15-2011 1755:

EPD dispatched to 800 block E. 24th street for a woman shot in the stomach.

12-13-2011 0230:

EPD dispatched to the 1100 block of West 5th Street. Shots fired. Two shell casing were found.
