Report of shots fired Friday night at a residence in the 2000 block of East 18th Street. No reports of injuries. Two shots were fired from outside through a bathroom window of the residence.

February 27, 2011 2200:

1000 block of East Ave. 5 shots fired.

February 20, 2011 0200:

1800 block of Buffalo Road. A female, was injured and transported to UPMC Hamot.

February 19, 2011 2235:

Shots fired Saturday night in the 1100 block of West 23rd Street. No reports of injuries. Police recovered a handgun and took seven juveniles into custody.

February 13, 2011, 2358

A man shot while sitting in the driver's seat of his car, called 9-1-1 for help Sunday night. Police and rescuers responded to 520 Wayne Street just before 8:30 p.m. They found the victim, Orguma Sanders behind the wheel of his car. He was crying out in pain from a gunshot wound to his right thigh.

Police say the weapon used was a 9 millimeter handgun. Sanders says the shooter was a "close" family member who was sitting in the passenger seat when he fired the gun. Investigators are looking for a short black male who was wearing a brown coat.

Two shots fired from a .45-caliber handgun inside a house in the 500 block of West 17th Street during an argument.

Two shots from a .40-caliber handgun as two men argued with two other people in the drive-through lane at the McDonald's restaurant at West 12th and Sassafras streets.

01-20-2011 2030:

Drive-by shooting Thursday night in the 1400 block of East 35th Street. Someone fired four shots that hit a two-story home at about 8:30 p.m.

Two shots struck the front door, and two shots hit a mailbox next to the front door.

Neighbors told police they saw a silver Buick Century drive off.

A 21-year-old male employee of Alfee's Pizza & Sub Shop, 3001 Glenwood Park Ave., was shot through the hip by one of two men who robbed the business at gunpoint at about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The robbers were described only as a chunky Hispanic male and a
thin black male.
