Reason for Nomination: Ken has been a City of Erie Police officer for 12 years with Erie Police Dept. He now a det. fro the crime scene unit. Ken is the F.O.P. President and is alawys working hard for the Police Dept. Whether it is reitred policers or poilce on the force now Ken is alawys working for the rights of the officers. He also is on the swat and sniper team. He is always working even if he is not working.He has a love for the police Dept.

Reason for Nomination: During a call to Hungry Howies on West 12th Street, a distraught woman locked herself in the restroom of the restaurant and tried to end her life with a knife. Officer Wierbinski, along with other officers, attempted to get into the restroom. Without concern for his personal safety, Officer Wierbinski kicked in the steel door allowing access to the female. Without his efforts, the woman would have bled to death. Officer Wierbinski saved her life that day.
